Backpacks, food, and drinks are not allowed inside, but lockers are provided at the entrance. This wild life tours allows visitors to do documentary screenings, interactive exhibits, and information boards that explain how the bears are rescued and rehabilitated. It is open daily from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the entry fees help support the care and conservation of the bears. While walking through the trails, visitors may also spot other wildlife such as wild gibbons, civets, hornbills, and many unique plants found in the Bornean rainforest.

 

Danum Valley Conservation Area Tour : Danum Valley Conservation Area is a beautiful rainforest in Malaysia. It covers around 438 square kilometers and is one of the oldest rainforests in the world. It is believed to be about 130 million years old. The forest is still untouched and full of wildlife. The conservation area is around 80 km from Lahad Datu and takes about 2 hours to reach by 4x4 vehicle. Since it is far away from towns and villages, the place feels very peaceful and wild. Danum Valley is famous for its rich wildlife. It is home to orangutans, clouded leopards, and Bornean pygmy elephants. More than 270 bird species, 120 mammal species, and thousands of plants can be found here. The valley is also known for having the tallest tropical tree in the world, a Yellow Meranti tree called “Menara,” which is over 100 meters tall. Unlike some wildlife destinations, animals here are mostly spotted while walking through the forest, not by boat safaris.
