Entry of Foreign Tourist in Sikkim restricted amid the upcoming Tourist Season -

In a major decision, the Govt. of Sikkim has restricted the entry of foreign tourist to the state as a preventive measure in the wake of rapidly spreading COVID-19 worldwide.

Our own Mr. Tanmoy Goswami placed his views in this regard at ETV News. The Darjeeling Sikkim region has not registered any COVID-19 cases till date but as a tourism based economy the sector has already started to feel some impact. We are hopeful that the situation will be resolved soon.
