Bumthang Travel Info in Bhutan

One of the most spectacular town with Chumey, Choekar (West), Jakar and the Tang (East) Valleys around it and is also a center of Buddhism. The trail will be a three-day hiking route which starts from Menchugang and ends at Jakar Dzong, The trek is also said to follow the traditional route (the Royal Heritage Trail) used by the Second King, between his summer and winter residences in Bumthang and Trongsa. Bumthang a tourist hot spot has four high valleys are covered in forests with monasteries, Chorten, traditional stone houses and colourful market displaying traditional textiles and crafts. The wood carvings, masks, gold - and silverworks, paper, and religious paintings are just brilliant.
