Raimatang is basically a forest village located in the western Buxa area of Dooars in West Bengal. Raimatang is a small village which has gained prominence in tourism and is famous as home to Elephants and other wild life. Raimatang is a perfect offbeat place in Eastern Dooars for peace and calmness and also to witness the beauty of nature and forest cover at its purest form away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The place also offers trekking from Raimatang to Lepchakha through Aadma and Chunabhati within Buxa Tiger Reserve area. Raimatang is around 45 kilometers from Alipurduar surrounded by hills and lush green tea gardens offering a great offbeat tourist destination especially during winters when the climate is pleasant and comfortable to explore the area.
