Char Dham in Namchi, Sikkim

A grand culmination of religious and spiritual tourism - Char Dham is a huge pilgrimage cum cultural complex developed in Namchi in South Sikkim by the Sikkim Government. The place is easily accessible from Namchi by car located in a distance of about 5 kms. The gigantic 87 ft statue of Lord Shiva is the main attraction of the Shiva Temple. Badrinath Dham, Jagannath Dham, Dwarka Dham are all replicas of Char Dham dedicated to lord Vishnu and Rameshwar Dham which is dedicated to lord Shiva. For visiting this place Namchi would be a perfect base for the tourist to plan the itinerary. During the month of February to June and October to December would be ideal to experience and witness the religious tourist destination of Sikkim.
